Lada For Sale

in this condition. After some 14 years with these (as part of my fleet of various classic vehicles) this, our fourth one, owned for 8 years is now finally for sale. Many hours of time and money has been spent, as I do car restoration for a living. Over the years I have kept on top of the welding to an excellent standard, and fortunately still has original rust free sills. That said, a little rust is coming into the lower edge of the tailgate, and offside upper part of wing where it meets scuttle (easy repair).Apart from that, shell, panels and paintwork very good for age. Mot December 2010 Tax December 2010. Covered 76k miles. Interior again good condition for age, new side steps 3 years ago cost £176. 5th full seat belt fitted by myself (for my kids!). 5 barely used 225/70/15 General Grabber tyres cost £300. Replacement engine built by myself done approx 2k on it ( oil pressure apparently reads low, but always has done on previous engines- no noises, must be gauge) All suspension ball joints and c.v. boots replaced within last 2k. New brake master cylinder, hoses, pads, wheel cylinders and compensator valve fitted in last 2 years.Brakes pull up well and straight. No leaks around sunroof. Obviously fitted with a tow bar, and has been a superb small, but capable towing vehicle having high and low range. All transmission units seem to work as well as the other Lada`s we`ve owned - normal very slight whine in motion.There is also a custom made removable roofrack with lights.There is a good c.d sound system in it at present with four speakers, but for the purpose of sale assume it to come with at least a good radio cassette, unless we come to an arrangement with the new buyer after the sale. After fitting of new ball joints, steering does seem a bit stiff - maybe I have overtightened the steering box, will look in to. Finally, seperate to this auction, I have 2 spare engines previous to this vehicle (one part rebuilt, but head gasket failed) a gearbox and one nearly complete same colour red G reg Niva Cossack minus engine and box, but with good tailgate. Car a little tatty. Sad to see go, had some good times, unstoppable in last years snow. But alas, I must move on. no longer keep it, it starts runs and drives fine no problems, it has had 2 new front springs about 2 weeks ago that was £150, i have had all the arches done, it has got spacto racing springs on the back, its got checker plating underneath the car, it has solid metal bumpers front and back, has a full snorkel kit, the tyres are all basically brand new loads of tread that i brought for £200 only 2 weeks ago, only problems it could do with a front manifold and front pads for an m.o.t...
